MAUI - HAWAII

If you wish to watch the sunrise from the top of a 10,000-foot volcano, swim under waterfalls, hike through craters and walk on fascinating beaches and all other activities that sounds like paradise, then Maui is the place. Maui is famous for surfing and windsurfing. Or scuba and snorkel on Molokini Island, a crater from the sea that hosts a wealth of marine life. Golf, fine dining, museums, and walking on the beach round out the perfect tropical holiday.

Maui is known as the "Valley Isle", and it's not surprising Maui is voted the Best Island by the American for 19 years. It has 235 famous attractions, and they are listed according to the ranks. Here's the top 10.

#3 Haleakala Crater - The drive up to view the sunrise from the summit of the Halekala Crater is long, and has to be completed early in the morning. The road is in very good shape, with guard rails most of the way, and give yourself time to enjoy the incredible landscape even after the sun has come up.
